About
Risograph is a digital duplicator originally used for high-volume photocopying and printing, popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Known for its distinctive look, Risograph prints feature vibrant colors and a unique texture due to the layering of inks, often used in zines and independent publications.
Observations
Across the sheet, bold graphic imagery is built from clean, flat color fields in intensely saturated pinks, reds, and blues. Thick drawn contours, halftone dots, stippled grain, and repeated wavy line patterns give the prints a tactile screenprinted character, while portraits and landscape-like figures remain highly stylized and poster-like.
