About
Surrealism is an artistic and literary movement that emerged in the early 20th century, characterized by its focus on the unconscious mind, dreams, and the juxtaposition of unexpected elements. It sought to challenge the conventional perceptions of reality, often incorporating bizarre, dreamlike scenes and illogical compositions to evoke a sense of wonder and introspection.
Observations
Across all four renders, the style combines richly visible brushwork with densely constructed, dreamlike tableaux in which figures, architecture, clouds, birds, and landscapes merge at impossible scales. Muted teal, coral, cream, and brown hues unify the surreal imagery, while fragmented juxtapositions and expressive painted textures give it a handcrafted, collage-like character.
