The Sims

About

The Sims is a life simulation video game series developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It allows players to create and control people, known as "Sims," and build their homes and lives in a virtual world. The game is known for its open-ended gameplay, allowing for creativity and exploration of various life scenarios.

Observations

A highly polished illustrative portrait style presents diverse, front-facing character headshots with clean fine contours, smooth modeled shading, and selectively flat color fields. Saturated pastel backgrounds, vividly dyed hair, elaborate makeup, freckles, piercings, and occasional fantasy traits create a colorful, imaginative character-design aesthetic.
