Four years ago, I launched Midlibrary as a small cheatsheet of the named styles Midjourney V3 could do. Three versions later, it holds more than 9,430 styles, and today it moves into a house built for it from the ground up. Here is what’s new.
Four Libraries in Four Years
3.0 changed the face. 4 changes the bones. Every style, guide, account and collection moved to a new engine I could finally shape around what Midlibrary actually is: a library of looks, not a list of pages.
Speed First
And while a picture travels, it no longer leaves an empty box. It waits as a soft cloud of its own colors, then sharpens into place.
Now You Can
- See every style in today’s Midjourney. All our 9,430+ styles have a fresh sheet made in V8.2. Miss the older look of a style or an SREF code? Its page shows how it looked in earlier Midjourney versions.
- Search by color. Pick from 96 colors, measured from the pictures themselves.
- Stack your filters. Categories, looks, colors and our Picks, all at once. “Ornamental, glowing, gold” is now one search.
- Find more like it. Every style page now shows its closest relatives, found by how each style actually looks. One click opens them all as a grid.
- Use Midlibrary on your phone, properly. Menus, filters, style cards, saving and logging in were designed for a phone from the start, not squeezed down from a big screen.
- Choose your light. Use Midlibrary in dark or light mode, or let your device decide. Choose how dense the style grid is, and whether to show style names or just the pictures. Your sort stays where you left it.
- Keep a collection to yourself. Each collection is private, for members, or public: your call. Rename it, describe it, drag styles into order, pick its cover, share its link.
- Search for a look, not only a name. Type “epic” and you get styles that look epic, not only styles with the word in their name.
- Log in without a password. Get a code by email, or use Google, Discord or Patreon.
- Get lost on purpose. The home page deals you a new look every time, Style Roulette spins four new styles, and every look and category has its own page of Picks, favorites and unexplored gems.
What Came With You From Midlibrary 3
Everything: your account, your membership and your collections. More than 3,700 collections from 2,000+ members, holding 62,000+ saved styles. Log in with the same email you always used.
The newsletter comes back right after the move. And if something looks broken, the bug button in the corner of every page comes straight to me.
Midjourney keeps changing, and so does the library. But the vision is still yours. Midlibrary 4 is here to help you find it faster.
Welcome to our new home, and enjoy!
Happy midjourneys,
— Andrei
P.S. Thank you to all the Midlibrary members, Patreon supporters and beta testers, and to the team: Anton, Olesya and Elina.
